The new Bay View Hill Gardens complex is now opened. This building houses 73 formerly homeless individuals and families. Currently there are 55 families, 17 individuals, and one unit for the property manager.

Santa came to the complex on December 16,2013, thanks to the Project Developer Michael Simmons. One of his long time friends, Ms. Patty Dinner, contacted Michael and indicated that her family and kids said: "we don't need anything; let's give to families that could really benefit!" Michael immediately thought about his newest project, Bayview Hill Gardens!

Patty brought her adult children and some of her grandkids. Her son was Santa. They also brought a caterer who had so much food that everybody had enough to take home. Yummy burritos, quesadillas, with all the fixings including huge chunks of avocado in the guacamole; cake, punch, a Christmas tree, toys for all, and gift certificates for teens. Plus $50 Safeway voucher for each family and $25 for individuals. Blessings, blessings and more blessings! Also, Ms. Patty said she was going to do this every year!

Thanks to staff from Mercy Housing and Providence: Ms. Carolyn Adams, Resident Activity Coordinator; Youth Coordinator Ms. Tiffany , Ms. Donnisha, Diana and Tangie...all working as an amazing team to make sure the residents had fun, got fed and loved the joys of this holiday season.

Thank you Michael Simmons and Ms. Patty Dinner for her generous family!
